One of my biggest goals in life is to remain very athletic as I age.

Sprinting fast and jumping high is all good and well, but not getting injured is more important.

In college, I could squat heavy and sprint fast and feel good.

This I stopped running around and just focused on lifting.

Needless to say, I lost the ability to be athletic.

Everything started to ache.

My sprints looked like a jog and if I "sprinted" more than 20m, I'd pull a hamstring.

When I wanted to see how high I could jump, it looked more like I was jumping rope than anything else.

I couldn't even jump off a chair as it would hurt my ankles, knees and back.

If I had some form of fun, like skimboarding, I'd end up hurting my knees and lower back and have to take at least 1 week off from training.

I felt pathetic and sad.

Regardless of how high my testosterone and DHT were, it felt like I couldn't express it athletically.

My posture and movement didn't reflect my hormones.

In 2021 I met Alex who is an athletic coach.

He started helping me fix my movement patterns. His approach was unconventional so it took me a while to fully commit to his exercises. But once I did, things got better than I thought it could.

Fast forward to today, I'm running, jumping, absorbing force, tricking and doing all the athletic stuff I want to do without pain.

And my posture also dramatically improved.

People started looking...staring...making comments.
