It’s easy to get the wrong impression about others — especially in a world where everyone only shares their highlight reel.

Scroll through social media and you’d think it’s normal to be yolked out of your mind, drive a Lambo, or work from a beachside café sipping bulletproof coffee.

I get it. People assume I was just “born lucky.”

But here’s what really happened.

Hair

I always had a full head of hair and a strong hairline. Never thought twice about it.

Then life hit hard — stress, bad sleep, poor diet. I started developing classic horseshoe-pattern hair loss. Once I got out of that rough patch and fixed my nutrition, my hair started growing back.

But that wasn’t the end.

The second time, I experienced intense shedding right at the front. This time it was low-grade inflammation. When things are good, it’s easy to take your health for granted — until it falls apart and the stress kicks in.

By crushing the oxidative stress and inflammation with the right supplements and providing the growth factors my hair needed, I reversed it again.

People sometimes comment, “Easy to talk about DHT when you’ve got a strong hairline.”

Truth is, it’s not genetics. It’s consistent action.

Good hair genetics = not losing your hair no matter what.

Elite hair genetics = losing it and growing it back. Twice.

Muscle

In school and college, I built muscle faster than my friends. Stayed lean, injury-free, and got stronger effortlessly.

I felt invincible in my early 20s.

Then we went through a brutal 4-year stretch. I lost all my gains and became injury-prone.

But I rebuilt — and went beyond.

Today I can:

Military press 100kg for reps
Do a back lever, front lever, L-sit
Knock out 50kg weighted pullups
Sprint like an animal

But I’ve learned: if I don’t stay on top of my recovery, I’ll crash. I have to go the extra mile with diet, rest, and programming.

Was it genetics?

Nope. It was smart work. Relentless adjustments. And not giving up.

Money

I didn’t grow up poor. My grandparents were entrepreneurs — they founded Aloe Ferox, a cosmetics company using the plant by the same name.

We had housemaids, went on vacations, gifts were common… I had it good.

But once we started our own business?

Reality hit hard.

We dove in head-first, but had no clue what we were doing. Making money wasn’t easy — and we had no real skill yet.

It took a decade of trial, error, and persistence.

Now? We’re living a better life than we ever imagined.
